Just usual set of interviews with a mix of coding, data structures and algorithms based questions. More words to get to the 30 words limit. And some more and more.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at American Express in May 2021
Interview
HR screening about your experience and interview process, very friendly.
Video interview for 1 hour - half technical questions about Java and half abstract reasoning. No questions about past experience/ projects which I was surprised about. In depth questions about a few Java interfaces (Set,List,Map) and expected to know some methods names and explain how they work. In my 2 years Java experience I have never used some of these methods mentioned and if I had, not enough to remember them - I'm not sure it's the best way to evaluate skills.

Interview
They received my resume from Grace Hopper Event'21 database and contacted me themselves.
Two rounds:
1. Codility Test
2. Technical Interview
1. Codility Test: 2 questions in 1 hour - easy to medium Leetcode
2. Technical interview:
- Had an interview with a senior Software Engineer
- Fairly easy questions, typical interview questions from geeksforgeeks, got in-depth with Java (which was the comfortable language chosen by me)
- Overall interview went very well, I was able to answer all questions except one (which the interviewer said was okay because it was a very advanced question and I can look it up after the interview)
Thanked the interviewer, feedback from her was positive as well.
Radio silence from HR. The ones who were pretty active before the process, sent them follow-up emails, no reply.
