I got called by the HR representative for my first interview. I presented 30 mins before the due time, registered at the entry booth and they told me to wait in a small hall with work benches similar to those at elementary school.
I got asked for my resumé, and the girl at the reception gave me a request form where I filled all my data as it was in my resumé. I spent almost 30 minutes to get it done, because they asked so much detail on contact info and the previous experience.
After I finished, I had to wait another 20 minutes to pass with the HR representative.
Got asked general questions (previous experience, why I left my last job, education, etc), then I left.
About 1 week later, I got called for the 2nd interview, now with the area manager. Same as before, another set of questions, but now they were obviously more technical and about how I get things done.
When I came home, that same day, about 2 hours after the interview; I got another call from another person from the same department (not the manager, but now one of my coworkers), and I was asked to go again for another interview the next day.
I went, and the girl who interviewed me was not a manager, but another PMO member, but it was strange, because she told me that she was helping the manager when he wasn't around, which struck me as odd.
Nevertheless, I did the interview and she seemed pleased.
About 3 days later I got a call from the HR representative telling me that I got hired, and was expected to start the next week. This was aroun a Tuesday.
When Friday came, I got another call from HR that the hiring process got delayed by 1 week. It seemed to me very odd, but I agreed to it.
Then around Thursday I called in to know the status of the hiring. The HR guy told me that it was delayed again. It became even more strange for me.
I asked him if this was standard or something (I asked him after the 2nd interview if they were going to do a background check or something, but he said that for my position it wasn't even necessary), but he said he didn't know.
Long story shor, 3 weeks after I was told that I was hired, I finally got to start at the job.
I still think this was the strangest hiring process I've ever had.
