Interview
E&Y came for a pool campus placement in which people from various backgrounds sat including M.Sc. OR, Statistics, AOR, and CS. [a total of around 200 candidates]
First there was an aptitude test which had questions from general aptitude as well as data interpretation. Around 40 questions were there and 30 minutes were given with no negative marking.
After the first round, around 50 students were selected for the next round: GD.
It was a GD of 30 minutes and only 10 minutes were given for the discussion after that everyone got a chance to conclude the GD. Topic of my GD was
"If Amazon prime and Netflix can completely remove D2H?"
Some of the topics from other groups were:
If automation is a boon or a bane?
Is reliance Jio a good long term plan?
After this round around 25 students were selected for Technical and HR round.
Usual time of a technical round was of 20 minutes but mine was of almost 45 minutes.
Various questions on the projects from my CV were asked. A small case study was also given.
And two puzzles were asked. I was able to answer all the questions, although the solutions that I gave in the case study were not very accurate although he seemed satisfied with a few out of the box solutions. But the interviewer was understanding and helpful. After that HR round took place.
Basic HR questions were asked, like, why EY? why this profile instead of an SDE profile? etc.
I thought this might be the last round. But after a while, I was called for another technical interview where questions from my projects were asked again. And a puzzle was given.
I wasn't able to solve the puzzle in the given time which wasn't more than 30 seconds.
