I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at HSBC (Londres, Inglaterra) in Dec 2010
Interview
One competency-based pass-or-fail telephone interview lasting approximately 25 minutes. HR on the other end of the phone, with a list of pre-set questions and a computer to type in candidate responses after every answer. Expect short-breaks between questions, and some questions probing deeper into your previous answers. Received an email 10 minutes after interview to notify me that I had passed.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at HSBC (Hong Kong)
Interview
Online simulations test followed directly by the superday. On the day itself there were a series of discussions and presentations to be made followed by interviews with business line managers.

Question 1
A series of fit questions followed by technical questions regarding market know-hows. These included upcoming trends in finance as well as the basic question on how interest rates work its way through the economy
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at HSBC (París)
Interview
First interview is conducted by HR on the phone. Competency based questions solely, 30 minutes. Then she told me straight after the interview that I had passed and would be called for the assessment center if there were still vacancies available. Unfortunately there weren't anymore. I was redirected for a sales position but once again no luck, because all the positions were taken. So a bit frustrating.
