I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at NHS in Apr 2016
Interview
Formal Interview with a panel of 3 people. Each took turns in answering questions whilst the others took notes. took around 1 hour with a time for questions at the end.
I arrived 10 minutes early but was made to wait 35 minutes in reception only for someone to come looking for me and then the interviewers accuse me of being late in my interview feedback!
Despite being very personable and the type of person that would succeed in their business, apparently I wasn't offered as I let myself down on 1 question. In my opinion what they wanted from that question was clear from the question they asked, but at least I now know what that term means when the NHS use it.
Another piece of feedback was that on my online application an email address for a reference had my own email address in it - this must have been google chrome auto fill being a bit zealous and I hadn't spotted it. Fair enough I should have - but it was treated like I was trying to be deceptive.
I think this was petty revenge as in the interview when they asked me if I had a good eye for detail I pointed out that Job Description and Person Specification was littered with spelling and grammatical errors. The lead interviewer didn't like that comment one bit as he may well have wrote it!

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at NHS (Londres, Inglaterra) in Nov 2013
Interview
The application process was via the official NHS channels, and invitation to interview was through the same channel. This was followed by a skills test (comparable to work within the role) and a one-to-one interview with potential line manager and his line manager. Questions were relevant to working with IT and data, securing data, and generic working within the NHS requirements such as an understanding of confidentiality.
