I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Uber (San Francisco, CA) in Oct 2016
Interview
Two phone screens (HR recruiter and Finance Recruiter), followed by two team phone interviews. Final rounds on site were four rounds of behavioral/case interviews with one homework assignment that required about 5 hours of preparation. Overall, it was a positive experience. I was surprised, however, with how unprofessional the finance recruiter was. We put our interview on hold so he could retrieve a package from his front door and quiet his dog. He also did not call me during two of the scheduled appointments we had set. His final phone call with the decision of no offer was jumbled and not a clear "no". He told me that they were "moving in a different direction and wanted to interview a few other candidates". Otherwise, though, the interview was thorough and I was impressed with the team members I met.

Question 1
How would you explain to a non-finance friend who wanted to drive for Uber if it was worth it.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Uber
Interview
Phone screen (straight-forward to gauge interest with a few high level case questions), 2hr Analytics Test (Very difficult, necessary to utilize all the time allotted), Phone Interview w/ 2 Associates (almost no behavioral questions, just high-level case questions)
I had a great experience leading up to my 2nd of 2 phone interviews, which was clearly the turning point in my overall interview experience. The guy was a little arrogant and not prepared, asking the same questions as the previous interviewer and mumbling/speaking in an unclear manner. I did my best to recap his questions, which he rattled off in a jumbled fashion, but apparently, I didn't respond well enough to make it to the next round.
