I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Uber in May 2016
Interview
After applying 3 days got an non-technical phone interview. No self introduction, just start with describing my recent project, silence, then described another project, silence, and what did you find from your projects, then suggest me try other positions.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at Uber (Ámsterdam) in Mar 2016
Interview
In-person sync, take-home test (easy for anyone with a data science background), in-person round of 6 interviews. I enjoyed most of the interviews, but one person in particular was exceptionally arrogant, condescending, and made me feel from the first minute as though him talking to me was a monumental waste of his precious time. Needless to say, that turned me off from the company entirely.

Question 1
What would you choose as the key metric for [insert some new Uber feature]?
First round: 30 min phone interview with a recruiter. We talked about stuff on my resume and current projects I'm working on. Then the recruiter went into details on team composition and responsibility. Overall, it was a pretty laid back phone call. The recruiter was really friendly.
Take home questions: a week later got a simulated dataset with 3 problems from the recruiter that is due in a week. The questions are challenging but doable.
