Phone screen interviewer was a bit aloof. Analytics test was quite easy, even for someone with no business background, especially if compared to other tests such as the McKinsey PST, and included an extremely tedious Excel section. Creative test felt like unpaid work: I was under the impression Uber was really just fishing for ideas, so answering in all possible depth did not seem adequate at that point. The bar is not nearly as high as they say, however - pretty basic stuff. Process/feedback moved quite slowly. Compensation and work-life balance prospects were not attractive (don't really care for equity of a company with virtually unlimited private funding and no IPO in sight, and whose business model/ethics faces plenty of headwinds worldwide). The fact that all basic communications between native Portuguese speakers were held in English was a tad silly. Last but not least, I sensed the company expects a devotion of sorts from their employees - I got a bit of a cultish vibe that I find quite ludicrous. I'm a driven and loyal person, but fealty is something I feel no corporation deserves. All in all, not a good fit for my life goals.
