I applied through other source. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Walmart
Interview
Process is before a panel of 3 from the market level. All questions are from a company questionnaire and does not deviate. Certainly they change it periodically. Interview can be in person or over the phone. The preference is to hire from within but I have seen several come from the outside

Question 1
Questions pertain to experience in judgement, leadership, problem solving cust service etc. The difficult part is they ask for specific examples from your career and sometimes I found it difficult to just pull on an experience
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Walmart (Boston, MA) in Feb 2013
Interview
My Resume was on Career Builder, I was contacted by phone by a Walmart Recruiter asking me if I was interested in hearing about opportunities available. They told me they had two types of positions open, Assistant Manager and Shift Manager. I was interested in the Shift Manager position because it was a hire position in the store and it paid better overall. Had a phone interview with recruiter, 3 weeks later had a panel interview with two store managers and was offered the position two days after interview. I was really hoping for Shift Manger position, however they offered me Assistant Manager, which I accepted with anticipation to move up within company.
