Pros

There used to be a lot more pros (although not many) before AECOM and URS joined together. All pros are literally gone now.

Cons

Unfortunately I can't believe how the cons have strengthened and developed over time. This company has become over sensitive to financial so called requirements. Too much inclination on money. Often talk about 'the AECOM way', but AECOM has no way at all. There is no vision; the only vision open for discussion is financially oriented. But how will you make financial developments if you don't invest in your staff? Training is getting literally on extinction in this company.

Pros

Decent salary, but there's definitely more to life. Fair insurance benefits, but we pay for them dearly. Great body of work being done by passionate people, most of whom are burning out before my very eyes.

Cons

The best people in my office are finding jobs elsewhere, and I can't wait to join them. This company has penny-pinched and over-managed themselves to the point of failure. Hostile work environment and broken systems in conflict with work directives make it impossible to do one's job, whether entry-level PM, support personnel, or management. Key systems such as procurement and finance are outsourced to foreign countries.

Pros

- Good work life balance at times - Good benefits available

Cons

- Failure of IT department - Old Systems - Zero training and development - Zero room for progression, they just want you to sit at a desk and not go anywhere - Not interested in what you have to say - Unsupportive management - Too much middle management - Service desk is terribly bad and needs serious cash injection and new managers to improve it - Investing in staff or what staff need it non existent - No access to 2nd line related systems at all - Staff turnover rate is very high, almost a new IT team every week. - Management get rid of anyone perceived as a threat to them, including the good people.
