Upper level management doesn't seem to have a clue. Administrative and management tools and systems provided to project managers and engineers are abysmal and waste huge amounts of time but upper management is either unaware of problems or refuses to make improvements. Lots of upper level rah-rah very little in the way of actual support for doing business at the local office level. Focus appears to be exclusively on the ultra large projects. Way too many levels of middle management who provide zero value added but require exceptional levels of compensation.

Too large! This company has totally lost their employee engagement culture once shared by some of the legacy operating companies that were melted together into one AECOM. Mixed messages come out from the CEO stating how well we are doing yet an hour later layoffs are happening. There has been little communication regarding staff reductions; leaving everyone else paranoid. Many managers are not well trained, lack people skills, and are just flat out not leaders. Everything is becoming prescriptive around here - no room for creativity and sharing ideas. Not what was promised to many when their former companies were purchased.
