Pros

Money. As a union employee, the overtime is the only reason to stay. I almost double my base rate of pay with the overtime. Health care is with the best local plans.

Cons

Poorly management. No communication about the company's direction. Zero tolerance attendance policies. No respect for family. No life at all when overtime is forced. "Pacbell time" where you cannot be late for any reason. Total focus on negatives from customers. A constant demand to increase productivity with no new tools or procedures to achieve any increase. Each department cares only about meeting their own metric at the expense of the other departments and the customer. Outsourcing of departments leads to confusion about what anyone does. The company is managing itself out of existence while bonusing out of state managers into retirement.
