sketchy and disconcerting

Pros

most co-workers are great to work with and very dedicated to BRP and the Evinrude product

Cons

Management does not plan or staff for a 8 hour, 5-day production schedule. Working Saturdays on the assembly line and both Saturdays and Sundays in machining are considered to be the norm and there is little to no effort to address the underlying problems. There is also a lot of high brow "business-y" talk at monthly update meetings, almost as though management is trying to show off how smart they think they are.

The products blind you from reality

Pros

It is fun to work for a company where you have a product portfolio for mainly an upper-class customer and get the chance by occasions (depending on your function) to experience the excitement of the novelties. Salary is market conform and additional employees benefits. Opportunities for youngsters who want to prove themselves. Very dedicated teams in all regions to reach or stretch the targets.

Cons

North-America and Canadian markets have focus which impacts decisions for other regions. The management peers are subjective. To ensure they stay in the club of management and secure their own position - it is seldom that job cuts are happening on a high and mid-management level. The employees bonus is based upon personal performance and company performance. The personal part should be measured by objective KPI's but in many functions they are missing so it can be considered as influential. You will be confronted with an overload of work
