Pros

Breadth of technology - fantastic being able to get involved in new area's of technology. You know when Cisco develop more IP products, customers want to hear about them. My colleagues are great to work with - everyone is willing to help. Cisco is in every account, so it's easier to introduce new technologies.

Cons

Have no life - submitting numbers on Sunday afternoon/evening. Managers emailing you while they are on holiday. Some AM's planned holidays have been cancelled. Cisco do not invest enough in employing enough subject matter experts - it's always a struggle to get resource. Personal agenda's comes first, customer comes second. I have seen numerous re-organisations, which had no benefit to the customer. The technical and sales staff too far removed from senior management - their opinions don't seem to count. Poor managers get promoted, not sacked.

Pros

Strong branding with high customer credibility. Responsible organization that will address customer issues to satisfaction.

Cons

Mature company so compensation is not aggressive. Goals are challenging as they typically insert an uplift of 20-25% on actuals which can be difficult if you are in the same patch for several years.
