      Great extracurricular programs for networking and professional growth

      Pros

      Deloitte provides a lot of training and extracurricular opportunitites to build your network and gain access to mentors. Though the hours are long, the firm does exert a lot of effort in addressing work life balance.

      Cons

      The firm is very large and can be slow to change. If you want to switch projects, for example, there can be quite a bit of red tape in your way due to partner politics.

      Pros

      My role allows for involvement with a range of clients, in a range of industries, with exposure to staff at all levels. Challenging and fulfilling, with great workmates. Opportunities for career and personal growth are there for the taking, if you are willing to put in the effort and show/develop the expertise.

      Cons

      There is a focus on billable hours that creates pressure for some, but that's to be expected with a services firm. Corporate culture can get a little much at times, but generally it's okay. Sometimes it would be nice to have my 'own' desk, but - as they say - variety is the spice of life.
