      Truly Sad to See What Has Happened to a Company I Loved

      Pros

      Many long-tenured employees trying their best to keep the ship afloat.

      Cons

      Things have fallen into utter chaos after a terribly botched merger with GE Fleet. We are hemorrhaging clients, or having to offer steep discounts to retain them. The management team is clueless, and to make matters worse, there is no communication, or employees are told outright lies. People dread going to work each day, knowing what they'll be facing. Stress levels are through the roof. I always imagined I would work there until I retired. I hung in there through several other rough patches over the years, but this latest was just too much. Had to leave to save my health and sanity.

      - GE culture dominates - Climate of crisis after crisis - Big company spending mentality in a small to mid-size business - Botched integration - Cheery leadership over substance - Upgraded computer systems that are often worse than what they replaced

      Mid/Upper Management Meltdown

      Pros

      Former established FMC industry leader (GE) is being “parted out”. Current, apathetic owner Element/PHH, and it’s inept management, have unwittingly positioned what will remain of the Eden Prairie business unit to be sold off - probably in pieces.

      Cons

      Poorly deployed transition and the destruction of GE culture, processes, and systems have forced key, longstanding & loyal customers move on to competitors. The lack of vision and inability to clearly and decisively execute falls on the shoulders of indecisive, over promoted middle/upper management.
