      Frequent org changes, 24/7 expectations

      Pros

      Nice office, some of the products use cutting edge technologies, generally smart people to work with

      Cons

      Upper management lacks long term vision. There are org changes every 2-3 months which results in people getting laid off. Expectations from employees are unrealistic and many employees agree on taking on goals that they cannot achieve in fear of getting laid off. This results in an overall unproductive environment where nothing seems to get done and customers constantly get pissed off.

      Layoffs = more work for current employees

      Pros

      Many employees are top notch to work with. Clients are wonderful and most are willing to learn and implement.

      Cons

      The company is laying off employees and whole departments, possibly getting ready for a sale. The work these employees had done is then given to current employees to do even though they work more than 40 hours a week. The management says "be thankful you have a job". Employees don't say anything for fear of losing their jobs.

      Work life balance - very few people work after 5pm which is nice

      Cons

      The marketing department used to be an incredible place to work - circa 2018/2019. However, with the latest CMO, there were massive layoffs and turnover and a caustic, toxic environment has taken over what was once a wonderful work place. If you respect yourself, do not take a job in this marketing department. I have never seen people talk to each other the way some of the marketing leaders do at Ellucian. It's really sad, to be honest.
