It doesn't matter how good the pay is when the president of the company puts your health at risk by insisting you come back into the office even though we've been successfully working from home for about 2 months. And the company has had dozens of COVID-19 cases. The president of Uline has gone on record saying that what takes us 5 minutes to do in the office takes us a week to do from home. That's absurd. When the corporate office goes back to work next week, we'll be going back to our cubicles that are much closer than 6 feet. All because we're "not a work from home company". Uline was behind the curve with taking action on COVID-19 prevention methods, they were behind the curve with technology since they had nothing in place ahead of time to help us work from home, and they're still behind the curve by not allowing employees to continue to work from home. Most companies and going to allow their employees to work from home indefinitely because they've seen how successful it's been for them. Their employees have greater productivity and increased job satisfaction. Their facilities costs will go down because they no longer have to maintain large office buildings. And since Uline loves to hire people straight out of college, just know that Forbes says that 68% of millennial job seekers would have increased interest in a company that offered the ability to work remotely. You can also hire the best people no matter where they are in the country and you wouldn't lose employees due to relocation. It just makes sense. And now that we've all had a taste of what working from home is like, we're not going to like coming back and you'll probably lose people who seek employment with a company that's living in the 21st century.
