Pros

- Iconic, Made in the USA brand. - Talented, passionate employees. - Employee discounts on instruments. - Professional, well-run back-office.

Cons

- TPG venture capitalists have charted an uncertain future, banking on monetizing "digital" which they have yet to clearly define. - Disregard for the depth of talent and commitment of long-time employees. - Average pay with minimal to no merit increases - Spotty record of short term rewards - Long-term rewards (options) have been and will continue to be worth less then the paper they are printed on.

Pros

Still great to say you work at Fender. People who don't work there always get excited when you say you work at Fender.

Cons

The investment company has quickly changed the culture. They smile to your face but secretly plan to get rid of you. Everybody walks around wondering when they are going to get sold, fired or laid off. My boss has been pretty open that he thinks the CEO is going to fire him. He is a good guy, but it looks like TPG wants to fire every executive to cover up the bad financial performance. Like a bad piece of fruit, the outside is pretty but the core is rotting. The new CEO was run out of his last company for ruining it and now people have to move to Hollywood because he doesn't want to live in Arizona, so how is this a people oriented company?
