Pros

None that I can think of, other than the recognition of the Fender name as a cocktail party conversation piece

Cons

Toxic management stifles creativity and innovation. Fender bought my division - Kaman Music Corp.- in 2009 and left it pretty much alone for four years. They then proceeded to plant all their Guitar Center cronies in management positions and thus began the meddling with a solid foundation that led to the crash and burn in 2013-14. They have subsequently sold the pieces ( for less than half of what they paid for it).

Pros

Top Pro is the people. I should say that one more time. The People. So many of us care. On the surface, this is a dream job. Wouldn't you expect Fender to be in the "Top Ten Places to work"?

Cons

Mass extinction of the people that made this brand a market leader. It's been widely discussed here, but the CEO shuffle has been very challenging. 7 Weeks ago, it was announced that the Product Marketing & Marketing Communications group were being moved from Phoenix to Hollywood in a years time. The product team was informed that in 2 weeks they would be presented with "relocation packages". No word as of this date. --7 weeks-- the moral has bottomed out. Many dedicated people have simply moved on to other firms. Looks like word will be coming, but nobody has any faith that we will be offered the cost of living increases that can make this possible. So the people that created the value will be walked into the sunset--tortured on the way. Lastly, we were informed today that we must sign an agreement to mandatory arbitration or be terminated. Which is inarguable slanted towards the employer. This is the way you will be treated. We have come a long way from "be yourself, be different" It's no longer about the employees. You can't argue that employees matter when you have had this many people sitting in limbo for an inexcusable amount of time.
