Pros

It is very rewarding working with the population that I worked with.

Cons

Poor communication. Although all positions in my department required a 4 year degree or better, employees were not treated with professional courtesy. Literally everyone in my department has either already left or is looking for a job- except one.

Pros

There are outside resources that are tapped into to assist the clients of the agency attain their employment and educational goals. The clients have assess to computers and they are also provided with a cell phone line so that they can get access to call from employers. The clients are also provided with bus passes so that they can get to theri job interviews.

Cons

There is not proper training available for the office employees when they are first hired. The department heads should ensure that the new employee is receiving the proper training. There shourse be a test provided that shows understanding of the job and the job responsibilities after the training. Not everyone that is assigned to train the new employee ensures that the training is done the way it should. There is a lot of making up that it is being done when in actuality the employee is not being trained to succeed. Communication between departments is almost non existant. There needs to be teamwork within this organization. Employees must learn to work together and stop the hipocrisy. Employees in management could benefit from professional development courses and ethics courses.

Pros

everyone was nice except the manager

Cons

There were three managers who were not in communication, so there wasn't consistent information for us. There were also not in contact with me while I went to the hospital and I reached out multiple times on what I thought was my deathbed. After contacting them four times, I finally found a supervisor's number. they accused me of never contacting my manager and that they considered me a no-show and submitted my paper to HR to be fired and that there is nothing they can do at this point. then literally 10 minutes later they said if I come down to work today and plead my case then they can consider giving me my position back. really?!?. To0 many mind games and lack of compassion for $9 h/r. Whoever does the schedule is also an idiot, whenever I come in, I was the only cashier at times and still expected to do my racks and go backs. When I complained, they lied and said no one who do the register is available on those days or at those times yet multiple people tells me they beg to be on the schedule during that time but management refuses. U overworked me into the hospital and then "fired" me? Good luck to the suckah that replaced me.
