Pros

Great challenges and opportunities for career development.

Cons

As for every multinational company: the difficult reach out from top management towards local sites.

Hi there and thanks for your review! It's nice to hear you appreciate our career development opportunities. To your point about the different layers that make more difficult the seamless communication from top to bottom and vice versa, the good news is that since we separated and became HP Inc., we are a flatter organization and it has become easier to reach our senior leaders or provide more visibility to local sites or top employees. Hope this helps. ~ Madalina Antohe, Employer brand & digital media leader

Hi there and thank you for your review! Thanks for taking a moment to recognize our amazing work environment! To your point about the many changes that have happened since the split, the good news is that we successfully split, and although we will still see some changes in the future, we will slowly but surely focus on stability. ~ Madalina Antohe, Employer branding & digital media leader

Pros

There is a lot of independence and flexibility. They pay folks reasonably well for what they do, and bonuses, albeit small, do help to encourage productivity. In general, there is a good work/life balance

Cons

Morale/energy levels can be low at times among team members. There seems to be a lack of passion among most members of any given engineering team, and managers don't seem to be helping out much in that regard - it's a difficult problem to solve. Although there is a lot of independence, there isn't a lot of room for upward mobility. I've had multiple conversations with managers about moving into a different role/level of responsibility, to which they've responded positively, but I've yet to see any sort of effort on their side. I've had to seemingly work around them to start doing what i'd like to do.
