Pros

It’s a job that pays money, that’s it

Cons

Employees are expected to work/fill in for a variety of positions. During my time I would fill in for the duties of up to 3 other positions (housekeeper, maintenance person, front desk attendant) without any bump in pay. The management doesn’t listen to employees. Employees that ask for help are labeled as mediocre by the management team.

Pros

I started out as an entry level from desk agent but it’s fairly easy to climb up in the company.

Cons

In hospitality the hours are not going to be great anywhere you go. Although depending on the manager who makes your schedule you could end up working 10 days in a row like I did.
