Pros

Good exposure to work on full lifecycle for a product development. full ownership is given of the module so one can properly investigate and innovate . But it also depends on the team.

Cons

Very closed environment , they are virtually very numb in using open source technologies and a very little interaction among different project team. Senior management has to learn a lot as to how to retain the talent . As work life balance is horrible there for junior developers. But yeah seniors enjoy a lot , I believe they do not contribute much to the projects and has become more or less obsolete.

Pros

In the telecoms world it is absolutely the right place to be in terms of market growth, driving the pace of change. Very strong technology focus and customer commitment arguably the best in the industry. For those in a sales role Huawei is the land of unrivalled opportunity with very aggressive sales targets that are achieved year on year. Technology - Research and development and the integrated manufacturing platform are truly world class. Investment in Process and Information technology / automation is integrated in to business planning and part of an endless drive to optimise internal workings to enable cost effective business operations.

Cons

still a growing and developing organisation adapting internal management practices to working in a global market, while coping with rapid growth. Service delivery and localised competence development are still evolving which creates some tensions and pressures but at the same time offers true opportunity to shape and influence future success. Internal communication can be a problem depending on the role, the ability of the individual to build trust and relationships. Some of this is cultural, some of it uncertainty of the internal organisation due to the rapid growth and relative immaturity of some of the Human resource, internal communication and the data and Information security practices which can be a little over zealous at times.

Pros

Plenty of opportunities to explore new technologies. Quality of work, compared to other companies, is better. Many good processes are followed.

Cons

Work life-Personal life balance is affected. People slog too much. Not at all recommended for girls, because management expects them also to stay late. Some technical leaders are annoyingly dumb, and makes me wonder who the hell recruited them at the first place! With so many dissatisfied employees, Huawei is facing severe attrition, even from its Tier1 employees. Attitude of management - people who stay at office more (though not working, but just browsing through mails) are recognized for "excellent" performance.
