Pros

They are a well established company with resources enough for employees to learn a lot of things.

Cons

The hiring process is really strict, and when one finishes said process the real torture begins, they pay too little for what they receive, a bilingual interpreter that they assign a 30-min lunch break, who does not receive any type of severance when laid off.

Pros

Opportunity to interpret for different companies and keep your skills honed Learning a lot about different sectors Training is ongoing

Cons

Poor salary Company does not take responsibility for any issues regarding connectivity and always blame the interpreter for everything No opportunity for advancement Interpreters in Mexico are managed through a third party HR recruitment office called Human Quality; the people there are not professionals and treat interpreters like we are expendable We get no respect for what we do. The whole work environment is wrapped up in threats and punishment. I contacted HQ abouta surgery I needed to have ( with plenty of time before) and asked exactly what I needed to do to keep my job since I required 2 weeks to recover and be able to go back to work. They gave me the info and then proceeded to arrange for my dismissall! Behind my back!!! Their excuse was that I had to send them documentation from my hospitalization BEFORE I even was hospitalized and from my release as well. I am really appalled at the way these people handle their communication and how they treat employees. Unfortunately I was also blamed (though it wasn’t something in my control) for all the power outages in the area which were a result of construction manouvers for the huge mall that was being built down the street. Even though I sent in my SR’s explaining this I was constantly getting admonished for it.
