Pros

You learn a lot and gain a lot of experience because it's a very fast paced environment.

Cons

The pay is too low compared to the work you have to do, because even though it's remote, what you get paid at least if you're a mexican interpreter, is very low in comparison to the level of stress and skills you are required to have to keep this job.

Pros

Work at home advantages such as no commute, ability to eat at home, no dress code. You can learn something new every day, you learn a lot about different industries and not just vocabulary but also how they work. The call volume is high but that helps you improve and get acquainted with the stress that comes with this job faster. Unpaid time off is easy to request. The training is very well done. Even though it's an over the phone job, it does not to get dull because the calls are different every time.

Cons

The salary for interpreters in Mexico is very low because you get hired through an outsourcing company. For mexicans interested in how much you're getting on IMSS, you're on the minimum wage so that doesn't come with much benefits for anything else. Benefits are non existent in that sense. The work stress is very high for the amount you get paid. Human Quality most likely will never answer your calls.

Home office, hours are flexible

Cons

Phone lines tend to have tech issues and their only solution is to call the provider. Servers jam when working with VoIP.
