Pros

Benefits and insurance are pretty good.

Cons

Be prepared to be run over by bus tires. Upper management loves to blame the young people they’re supposed to be teaching and guiding. Not a good place.

Pros

Was a good company work for

Cons

Has alarming changes for who is considering PCL. It had good name for long time. And now it starts getting rid of the people who work for them long time, because pay them "too much" in shares. But they ignore the fact, those people have to stand very low salary (20-30% less) and next to zero dividend for years (3-5 years), before they get even by dividend. And once you finally caught up and think you have some good years down the road, now you are on the black list to be get rid of . Think twice before apply.

Pros

Can make good money when working out of town.

Cons

When out of town on project sites, there is no work life balance. You are gone 10 to 14 days (sometimes longer) at a time. Have better odds getting struck by lightning than getting a pay raise.

Thank you for your feedback. We value the efforts of all our PCLers as this is what continues to make us a leading general contractor in North America. We encourage you to speak with your supervisor or district HRPD manager so they can address your concerns. Alternatively, you may reach out to us at glassdoor@pcl.com.
