Pros

Overall the benefits are pretty decent and there is a parking garage. If you get to work early enough you can keep your car out of the blistering sun. If you play the game right, there are opportunities for advancement.

Cons

PayPal is horribly managed. Often promotions are handed out based on politics and if management likes you, not based on merit. This causes people to be in places they shouldn't be. The office is very political and if you don't play the game properly you're out. I have worked in several different departments and it's pretty consistent amongst them all. The Directors have no idea what they're doing and decisions are often made without taking the teammate into consideration. PayPal likes to boast how they're they number 1 place to work. What they don't tell you is that they coerced the employees into taking the Phoenix Business Journal survey and threatened that if they didn't get number 1 they'd not complete some of the requests made by employees. That's why if you look at any other ranking site, PayPal is nowhere to be found. The pay is also terrible and unequal as it is based on politics and not merit. Management also has no idea what employees are doing what for the team. Hard work, dedication, and passion are often overlooked and not taken into consideration with reviews. PayPai is a disorganized mess and is moving backwards as there is no real leadership. Their attrition rate is very high as they do not pay employees enough to deal with the upset customers and shotty software used. I do not recommend this as a place to work.

Pros

None None None None None

Cons

Rescinded my offer 13 days after I accepted it. I had 2 other equivalent paying offers (Software Developer) which I had already declined to work for. I would like to suggest people to accept this but don't trust them until you join them in fact don't trust until you work for a month for them. You can be removed whenever. Please don't be at the mercy of their will. Keep your options live until the last moment with this company for your safety.

Pros

Decent to good benefits, the good managers were fantastic (though most have been let go by now), brilliant people in the tech roles, though most are now gone.

Cons

The company has no idea what to do with their products. We were constantly pivoting and dropping what we were previously doing to rush into some new half baked project only to drop that as well after a couple of weeks. Management was more interested in office politics than actually working and were constantly trying to backstab each other to the detriment of the company at large. Constant re-orgs as VP levels are constantly fighting for additional head count for clout. When layoffs started in late 2022 they claimed they were laying off the "low performers" but it was very clear it was more about killing off the people with high tenure than it was about any sort of performance issues. Also they completely changed their severance policy a month before initiating mass layoffs to make sure they wouldn't have to pay out their "1 month of severance per year at the company" promise. Just know that if management promises you anything that its basically worthless.
