Pros

There are no more pros of working there, it used to be family company back in the days. But they get rid of all employees that actually build the system, so no more values matters to them.

Cons

- fired all development team to hire contracts in india - no value for knowledgable employees - only money matters

Thank you for your more than 10 years of dedication to QAD. It is disheartening to hear that you feel the company’s values and culture have shifted so significantly from the "family" atmosphere you once valued. We truly appreciate the role you played in building our systems over the last decade. The decision to evolve our development and staffing models is never taken lightly, and we understand the frustration caused when long-standing teams are impacted. Please know that we continue to value deep institutional knowledge and are working to ensure our global teams—both internal and external—are integrated in a way that maintains the quality and integrity of the products you helped create. We wish you the very best in your next endeavor.

Over Promised & Under Delivered

Pros

Can work remotely unless you are in India.

Cons

At the start of the year, a new CEO stepped in with promises to reform the company after years of workplace instability and underperforming products. Since then, they have assured customers that the upcoming November release will finally deliver the features and solutions they’ve been asking for. The company has poured significant money into marketing to position the release as groundbreaking. However, the reality is that the product won’t be ready by November. At best, it might be ready by February or March—though we’ve been hearing that same projection for the past three years.

Pros

QAD Inc. was acquired by a private equity firm in 2022, and since then, I have found little positive to say about the company. This is particularly disheartening, as QAD was once regarded as an exceptional place to work.

Cons

The aftermath of the TB takeover has been marked by significant and recurring layoffs each quarter, diminished employee benefits, increased workloads, and declining morale. Customers have suffered noticeably, with many clients choosing to leave. The company’s culture, once described as a family, has deteriorated, replaced by a pervasive sense that TB and the executive leadership team (ELT) are singularly focused on EBITDA and cost reduction through workforce and benefit cuts. These layoffs have left remaining employees stretched thin, often unable to adequately manage their expanded responsibilities, leading to lapses in customer service and operational inefficiencies. Confidence in QAD's future is waning, with the company increasingly resembling a sinking ship.
