Pros

Great opportunities to work on many different clients. Leas formal working environment than the big 4.

Cons

Almost everybody that work there is miserable. Heavy on office politics. Fire people for no reason, low raises, and don't even think about bonuses. Evaluation is all based on how good u at sucking up, not ability. Get your experience and get out of here.

Pros

Work life balance, less travel than most audit jobs, nice people, less hours than most other public accounting jobs. Pay is not much less at entry level.

Cons

Small, less complex clients, pay not as competitive, lots of turnover, lacks the respect of a Big Four firm with other employers

Pros

IT Coordinators were paid by the hour so overtime was fair and lead to work/life balance. Hourly employees aren't given much responsibility so the job is easy. End-of-tax-season party on the company.

Cons

Low level of responsibility given to hourly employees means little challenge or professional growth. No defined path for career growth within the company for IT employees. CPAs are allowed to treat non-CPAs as second-class employees.
