While RB professes to be a global company by offering opportunities to anyone who might endeavour to pursue a global career, you really need to be an Aussie or Brit to advance your career. Also, Canadian HR support is managed out of the US and is a train wreck. A lot of sometimes uneccesarry depth on internal reporting & presenting focus Meritocracy still needs networking to get you somewhere in some cases Almost no structured personal development, beyond a twice yearly plans & reviews, which are often delivered as an afterthought when the deadlines loom So focused on annual targets that sometimes the right long term strategy is not 'approved' Good performance or initiatives can be dismissed or over-looked if not communicated in a certain style Upward & downward feedback can be lacking in structure, frequency and respect
