Pros

- Great career growth till a couple of years ago / international exposure - Ability to do new things and quick decision making - Minimal organizational politics

Cons

- No work life balance. You are married to the company, everyone else comes second - No structure, respect for processes. - Leadership challenges at the top. Eveyone saves their own job!

Pros

Great Brands, excellent "non-global, Canadian" coworkers

Cons

While RB professes to be a global company by offering opportunities to anyone who might endeavour to pursue a global career, you really need to be an Aussie or Brit to advance your career. The Canadian division has had the distinction of having several GM's, VP Sales, numerous Sales Directors between LCL and WM, and better than 65% turnover of employees in the last 6+ years. Also, Canadian HR support is managed out of the US and is a train wreck. Finally, the household business has become so commoditized that compensation via bonus will be subjective in the forthcoming years if RB cannot accelerate the health care business

Pros

Very high quality, intelligent colleagues whom act quickly Good remuneration generally Great brands, aligned to a true orgainsiational mission Fast progression through roles for some Nicely decorated open plan offices

Cons

A lot of sometimes uneccesarry depth on internal reporting & presenting focus Meritocracy still needs networking to get you somewhere in some cases Almost no structured personal development, beyond a twice yearly plans & reviews, which are often delivered as an afterthought when the deadlines loom So focused on annual targets that sometimes the right long term strategy is not 'approved' Good performance or initiatives can be dismissed or over-looked if not communicated in a certain style Upward & downward feedback can be lacking in structure, frequency and respect
