Pros

Nice location, nice office. Some good co-workers. Most recruiters know about "The RB Grind" so to speak so if you can handle working at RB they know you can handle working at their company.

Cons

As a recent college graduate, I am - Underpaid compared to comparable graduate development programs. - Overworked compared to comparable graduate development programs. Most of my peers in other companies work 40-50 hour work weeks, I work 60-70. - Partaking in unsatisfying, boring work - Definitely not doing anything to "Be a gamechanger"

Pros

- Good Brands - Good pay - A few friendly colleagues

Cons

- Its hard to sum up what a disappointing place of work RB is. The majority of its people and leadership team do no justice to well known health, home & hygiene brands that are supposed to make peoples lives better. -RB as a business is focused on aggressive growth (at all costs) which raises share prices. With most middle & senior management earning a generous salary and on a very generous share plan scheme most of them are only there for the money and do not really get involved in anything else that does not add to that. - Mainly focused on sales, and marketing to sell even more. - Extremely poor people focus and collaboration across the business. - Expected to deliver from day one without any formal training or any support. - Line managers are not expected to go out of their way to support the team (its just an administrative chore) - Crazy turnover (you end up doing the job of at least 2-3 people which they are unable to replace for long periods of time) - Crazy ambitious and aggressive people who will do anything they can to get promoted. - No meaningful PDR process or development plan. - Incompetent, aggressive and extremely unprofessional, senior management team.

Pros

A organisation that lifts people up fast, as if a routine task. You'll be headhunted externally within a couple of years and offered promotions internally to compete - for good reason. Regardless of role or function; expect to become sharper, faster, action orientated, more confident and massively successful. Was lucky to have a brilliant HR business partner pulling the back office management back on track every day, plus an amazing and caring team in Finance. Expect to be supported, encouraged to grow and take risks, enjoy complete flexibility with work hours, and a broad range of social activities.

Cons

Growth means operating outside your comfort zone and can be painful to different levels for different people. With so many young people across the organisation in this space; come short term actions under stress, strained relationships, and feelings of being impacted by others, but lacking the awareness of the impacts of own actions. Creativity and drive, lead to more work, and with a prize of promotion, a hunger to win, and an expectation of success; competition decreases people's empathy for each other. Virtuous cycles can become destructive and long in some areas.
