Pros

People who work there are the only real positive.

Cons

Everything. Compassion-less management who only want to push and push you to breaking point. Unrealistic targets set. Working environment which isn't well kept. Bins not emptied. The treatment of staff is disgusting by management, if your face doesn't fit or if you like to put a differing opinion across that isn't in line with the companies then you have no real chance of progressing through the company.

Sage is faking reviews again

Pros

Every time the ratings go down Sage will post short and obvious fake reviews to keep the truth of how they treat employees from shareholders.

Cons

Employee morale is at an all time low. You can't be on one meeting without someone bringing up how ridiculous leadership is at Sage. Now four 4 star reviews just days after employees were cheated out of their bonuses. Cheated is accurate as shareholders, executives, and the board are not suffering a 3% bonus (if you are lucky) rather than the 20%-30% bonus in comp plans. Unless you are the CEO or CFO then bonus plan closer to 90% of base pay. Class war in full effect. Billions per year company paying CEO and CFO millions yet employees unable to even get their Christmas bonus!

Thanks for your feedback. At Sage we have a philosophy of ‘pay for performance’ and this year more than 90% of our bonus eligible colleagues across 23 countries will receive a payment to recognise their contribution. These payments are based on their country and own personal performance, with the highest performing teams and individuals being handsomely rewarded. In addition to performance-based bonus and commission plans, we offer competitive base salaries, as well as a flexible and award-winning benefits package designed to meet the needs of our diverse workforce.

Pros

Car park, coffee, you will make some good friends who eventually all leave when they see what a miserable rotten place this really is, how undervalued they are and how much more they could earn elsewhere

Cons

Sage used to be all about the employees, now it's all about the shareholders, you're just a replaceable number even if you're one of the big hitters. Over my years at sage I have made good money, however this basic salary is laughable compared to the market, sales people follow the money and you can command 24-30k basic in other b2b sales roles with more achievable targets and commission. The basic has stayed tge same for 13 years years, any pay rise is also below inflation. The problem with sage is they have dumbed the role down to be like a b2c call centre full of job hoppers, they don't seem to grasp b2b is a different world and you need skilled switched on sales professionals. Sage would rather pay peanuts and get monkeys. The main focus is on replacing experienced staff with apprentices straight from school who don't know any better and don't have financial responsibilities. Sales is a noble profession, not at sage though, you're treated like idiots. The person who replies will come along talking about UNCAPPED commission, that is a LIE! Sales are capped at 200% per month so either the person who replies is lying or whoever gives them the information is lying. Management have a habit of barefaced lies, even backstabbing each other and accusing other managers of lying, the place is a sess pit, if you're someone's friend u will be looked after otherwise you're on your own. Currently sales are ringing companies that went out of business yrs ago to try and sell training, when you speak to senior managers they don't know what we will be doing from one day to the next, there is no plan in place for sales and most staff have left with the remaining currently looking. Sage could be good but they choose to be greedy, arrogant and treat staff with utter contempt, unless you're management, then you get paid to do literally nothing bar turn up when you fancy and gossip about your own staff. At least today I've got a new job, a company that actually pays well and looks after staff , what a novel idea.
