Pros

Free 1lb of coffee per week, health benefits for employees working average of 20 hrs per week, 20% employee discount on store merchandise. Time off requests honored 100% of the time in my experience.

Cons

Inflexible scheduling, especially regarding shift supervisors, but also making it difficult for baristas to get their required 20 hours per week for benefits. More times than I can count on both hands co-workers have fallen 30 minutes to an hour short over the quarter due to strict clocking in and out procedures. Shift Supervisors are given entirely disproportional increase in work to increase in pay. As a shift, I was called in more than once at 6am due to another shift not showing for work. Harassment complaint made to manager handled completely inappropriately.

Pros

It used to be a great place to work because they used to care about their people. They used to be very focused on partner development and now that seems to have disappeared and they act very cold toward their team.

Cons

* No advancement opportunities * Short notice of change and no time to prepare * Selective accountability * Poor compensation, not up with the rest of the market, good benefits, but poor salary

Pros

The medical benefits are pretty decent becuase you only have to work 20 hours a week, and the package is cheap. They are raising rates this year though. They also allow you to have a flexible schedule if you are a student, or just want to work part time, but they are starting to change that rule and make employees be available a certain number of hours per week.

Cons

The incompetence of the store manager is really wearing on all the employees. I think the DIstrict Managers should watch over stores more, and realize that the store managers lie and cover their tracks, while making the employees lives a living hell!
