Pros

Nothing I could think Of.

Cons

Hyderabad office is not considered as part of SwissRe. Flexibility is jus for sake of preaching but not in practise in reality. Nill to no work life balance. Facilities are worst. Everybody here thinks themselves as managers.

Pros

Life work balance and good benefits.

Cons

They restructure every 6 months, with an irresponsible impact on projects, knowledge building and employees. Ridiculously large spending on non-functional solutions or acquire the same solution from X number of vendors simply because they do not align nor communicate, followed by resolute cost-cutting on employees. Top management is technology illiterate which makes it really difficult and slow to innovate and be in line with the market. Quality is in the background, what really keeps them going is corporate politics…if you want to be there for a long time you need to have a powerful line manager who protects you.

Pros

When it comes to keeping up with global trends, Swiss Re is extremely good at it. If you like the feel-good factor of joining a company that speaks and has a view on any latest global trend, this is the place for you.

Cons

Walking the talk is a key problem at Swiss Re, appreciating employees in a meaningful way (instead of doing things in a check-box approach) is lacking. Senior management are out-of-touch and do not connect with the clients and markets and do not get involved in helping to seal the deals. They are very much led by what consultants have to offer. It's all about reporting, reporting, reporting and skills in powerpoint and presentations will land you the promotions, not actually being good and diligent at the job. The senior management are too removed to understand what's required anyway.
