Poor leadership

Pros

The headquarters has a nice first floor.

Cons

The CEO doesn't know how to unite leaders to support her plans. There's a strong passive aggressive culture that makes it difficult to move on just about anything. Leaders and employees all simply don't follow the new leadership that while fairly young seems to lean on an authoritarian type of leadership style. It's very odd. Not healthy. And their pay is awful. The leadership does not care AT ALL about a healthy work life balance. They know some are consistently working without sleep and others working an excessive amount of hours and don't seem to care.

Pros

Job security, Adult Softlines Manager

Cons

Understaffed, zero flexibility, underpaid, no opportunity for growth (if you do happen to get promoted you will turn into an overworked salary employee), forced to cross train so that you can cover other areas, have to take on others work when vacation days are used.

Pros

The work you do serves the general public with regards to safety. There are some opportunities for travel if you want them. Annual bonus is nice.

Cons

The PTO needs to be updated for senior employees - you get the same time off after 10 years as somebody that starts today. The company seems very siloed and disconnected, and departments fight over revenue ownership. Little to no advancement opportunities (besides a title change with the same basic responsibilities). Feels as if there is very little effort taken to keep employees, and seems they'd rather replace experience with somebody younger and willing to accept lower pay.
