Solar Engineer - Photovoltaic Projects

Compensation: MXN $30,000 net per month

IMPORTANT: This position is hired exclusively under an independent contractor agreement. It is not payroll employment and does not include IMSS, social security, or statutory benefits.

Position Overview

We are looking for a Solar Engineer with proven experience in the design, planning, and implementation of photovoltaic projects. This is not a junior, entry-level, or purely administrative role. We are seeking someone who has participated in real solar projects and can manage a project from technical assessment through installation, commissioning, and post-installation follow-up.

Main Responsibilities

· Conduct technical site surveys and project assessments.

· Design complete photovoltaic systems.

· Select and calculate solar panels, inverters, battery systems, and related components.

· Prepare electrical plans, single-line diagrams, and calculation reports.

· Coordinate installation, field supervision, and commissioning.

· Perform commissioning tests and post-installation adjustments.

· Prepare technical reports, financial proposals, and client presentations.

· Coordinate quotations and follow-up with suppliers.

· Ensure compliance with CFE, NOM, and applicable regulations.

Required Qualifications

· Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Renewable Energy, or a related field.

· Minimum 3 years of proven experience in photovoltaic solar projects.

· Experience in residential, commercial, or industrial projects.

· Knowledge of on-grid, off-grid, and hybrid systems.

· Experience with inverters, solar panels, batteries, and solar components.

· Experience using PVsyst, Helioscope, Electrical AutoCAD, or similar software.

· Knowledge of CFE regulations, NOM-001-SEDE, and applicable standards.

· Intermediate to advanced English for technical communication with suppliers.

· Availability for project visits in Mexico City and the metropolitan area.

Working Conditions

· Monthly compensation: MXN $30,000 net.

· Independent contractor agreement.

· This is not payroll employment and does not include IMSS or statutory benefits.

· Office-based position in Polanco, Mexico City.

· Monday to Friday in office.

· Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. remote / home office.

· Field expenses covered according to internal policy.

· Immediate start.
