Make Your Mark::
Combine your accounting expertise with instructional design to empower BlackLine customers, partners, and employees. As a Learning Experience Designer, you will act as a subject matter expert, translating complex financial principles into clear, innovative, product-focused learning solutions. You will own the full lifecycle of training development—from planning and design to development and delivery—while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
You'll Get To::
Content Design & Development

Design and develop engaging training materials on BlackLine products (eLearning, videos, instructor-led training, and exams).

Translate complex accounting principles into accessible, understandable concepts within our software.

Ensure all final deliverables maintain the highest quality of writing, editing, and formatting to positively impact learning outcomes.
Project Management

Manage multiple training projects from concept to release.

Maintain formal project plans, use tracking systems, and consistently meet deadlines in coordination with Training Leadership.
Collaboration & Strategy

Partner with Technical Trainers, stakeholders, and other SMEs to ensure content is accurate, relevant, and impactful.

Build strong relationships across the organization to foster a culture of continuous learning and customer success.

Collaborate with team members to share instructional design ideas and build new models or templates.
Industry Expertise & Delivery
-
Stay current with accounting industry standards, software implementation developments, and trends.

Occasionally deliver content across multiple product lines to diverse audiences via public/onsite classrooms, virtual classrooms, and recorded formats.

Perform other duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring::
- Experience: 2-4 years of hands-on experience in a corporate accounting or finance role (e.g., Accountant, Financial Analyst, Controller, Auditor).

Instructional Design: At least 1 year of experience in technical instructional design and evaluation.

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

Ability to travel up to 10%.
We’re Even More Excited If You Have::
- Experience using BlackLine or other financial close automation software.

Proficiency in building effective class materials using tools such as Articulate Rise, Synthesia, and Microsoft PowerPoint.

General understanding of adult learning theory.
