Senior Engineer, Database & Middleware

Job requirements
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain database solutions across Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB platforms.
Write and optimize PL/SQL procedures, functions, and triggers.
Perform query optimization and advanced performance tuning for large datasets.
Design and manage complex database architectures, including partitioning, sharding, and replication.
Implement strategies for database resiliency, including replication and failover.
Collaborate with application teams to ensure seamless integration.
Monitor and troubleshoot database issues to maintain high availability.
Required Skills & Qualifications
3–5 years of experience with PL/SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
Strong understanding of PL/SQL programming, including:
Writing efficient stored procedures, functions, and packages.
Using cursors, collections, and bulk operations for performance.
Exception handling and error logging best practices.
Advanced query tuning and execution plan analysis.
Proven experience working with complex, high-volume databases and distributed systems.
Knowledge of database resiliency concepts (replication, backup, failover).
Familiarity with data modeling, indexing, and partitioning.
Solid problem-solving and analytical skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
