What you’ll do

• Execute Materials Analysis Requests for GE Vernova technology products.

• Document component conditions through professional photo-documentation.

• Perform metallographic sample preparation for components related to Package, Accessories, and Gas Turbines.

• Support cost-out and product robustness initiatives through material characterization and data analysis.

• Maintain and calibrate laboratory quality and processing tools to ensure equipment readiness.

• Adhere to all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) protocols within the laboratory environment.

• Assist in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations and continuous improvement projects to deepen process understanding.

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)

• Currently enrolled as a bachelor student in the final semesters (with at least 1 year to graduate) of an Engineering degree in Materials Science, Metallurgy, or a related field.

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary team environments.

• Fundamental knowledge of testing and characterization principles, including optical/inverted/electron microscopy, hardness testing, and infrared spectroscopy.

• Proven familiarity with metallographic sample preparation techniques.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Due to the nature of failure analysis and laboratory characterization, this is a 100% on-site role at the QTC facility.

• Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the country where the position is located.
