We’re looking for a software engineering manager to help lead our growing team of technologists. In this role, you’ll write software alongside a team of global engineers on projects that matter to our customers and business travelers, and have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers. If you’re passionate about directly contributing to technical challenges, working independently and collaboratively across business units, and bringing thought leadership to improve our products, we look forward to meeting you.

What You’ll Do
Lead an engineering team to build, operate, and maintain our product to meet our customers’ evolving needs
Focus on planning and team management; minimal time spent hands-on implementing technical projects
Partner with product and design to understand requirements and priorities, create roadmaps, and manage implementation
Ensure your team meets delivery commitments through sprint planning and daily standup meetings
Hire, mentor, develop and engage a high performing engineering team through fostering inclusion and leading by example
Lead and support your team through changes within the industry and company
Perform quality inspections and walkthroughs including architecture review, design review, code review, and security review

What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or equivalent
7+ years of experience in software development
Experience leading teams through mentorship and driving teamwork and engagement
Expert in standard methodologies for end-to-end software development processes, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, testing, and operations

Experience Delivering Products Using
Cloud native microservices architecture
Java, Python
Distributed computing
APIs
Communicates sensitive information in a clear, professional way
Collaborative and mindful of company-wide priorities
