Launch Engineer – Automotive Industry

Location: Queretaro, Qro.

An international automotive company is seeking a Technical Product Manager responsible for ensuring the successful launch of projects and achieving contribution margin targets through productivity improvements, cost reduction, and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure successful launch of new projects (SOP) in the plant
• Lead engineering changes, continuous improvement, and product/process optimization
• Act as the main point of contact with customers (OEM and Tier 1)
• Analyze and control costs related to materials, scrap, rework, and logistics
• Manage KPIs, contribution margins, and budget performance
• Coordinate cross-functional activities with suppliers, production, quality, and engineering
• Ensure compliance with automotive standards and customer requirements
• Support supplier development, industrialization, and process transfers
• Lead teams and drive operational and financial targets

Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Advanced English (mandatory)
• Advanced German (mandatory)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the automotive industry
• Strong experience in product, process, and project management
• Knowledge of IATF 16949, VDA standards, Core Tools, and Lean Manufacturing
• Experience working directly with OEMs or Tier 1 customers
