Decent work for the right person
Pros
Good immediate supervisors Thorough training Positive work environment Easy work if you're in the right department for you Seemed to be trying to give more incentives to stick around I worked in the billing department for Kaiser Permanente. Immediate supervisors were for the most part very helpful and kind. The company hires team leads from within so most of them had been in your situation before and even take calls themselves. There is a strong sense of camaraderie among coworkers and immediate supervisors so stresses caused by unexpected upper management changes were easier to deal with. I struggled with anxiety at the time and my immediate supervisors were exceptionally supportive and understanding which was unexpected. So long as you work hard and follow procedures properly, you could expect an easy time. Expect reward systems like contests based on call success. And lots of potlucks. There's an exceptional local barbecue business that was available in the breakroom once a week.
Cons
Disorganized upper management You may be moved between teams or departments unexpectedly Mediocre pay Can be boring if you have low call volume Some employees were not very hard-working Immediate supervisors seemed poorly paid despite a lot of work stress so they would sometimes quit unexpectedly.
