Making your social media accounts stand apart is a challenge, especially with so many recruiting handles out there. Twitter has become an essential platform to engage with your audience, but it’s hard shine in an overwhelming sea of information, updates and refreshing timelines. Some companies, however, have mastered Twitter for recruiting, breaking out unique accounts devoted solely to talent acquisition. We spotlight a few below and hope they inspire your own efforts. 1. Twitter When people see the blue bird logo, they think of Twitter. Twitter cleverly made their recruiting handle just as catchy. In fact, their @jointheflock account has attracted more than 450,000 followers, focusing on “all the deets about who we’re hiring, what we’re doing and why you should come and work here.” twitter 2. Glassdoor When it comes to social media, consistency is key. At Glassdoor, we use Twitter to build our reputation and represent our company brand. By keeping our messaging consistent, relevant and accountable, we believe we are establishing trust with followers. Zappos Via @InsideZappos, Zappos hosts Q&A sessions with followers and general Twitter users, a clever way to engage with fans (and make new ones) while soliciting feedback for both company and product. By telling customers their voice counts, Zappos highlights its employer brand. Zappos currently has over 8,000 followers and that number continues to grow.

4. Dell To help candidates prepare for interviews, Dell promotes helpful advice with #DellTip posts. Not only does it engage followers, but it keeps Dell top of mind for job seekers and other audiences being targeted.

Eventbrite Knowing pictures and video increase engagement, Eventbrite showcases its great office and company culture by sharing text+image posts about employee sporting events, holiday lunch celebrations and other happenings. Adding images to your Twitter page is also a good idea. Besides looking cool, they give followers and candidates a peak into your culture.
