Last week, we shared tip number one in a three part series about tips from Glassdoor’s 2016 Best Place to Work winners. Each year, we work to uncover the secrets of what it takes to become a Best Places to Work. This year, the main themes uncovered thus far are creating a winning culture and this next tip: focusing on your people. In this, part two of our three-part series, we’re hearing from Best Places to Work winning companies about focusing on your most important asset -- your people. Focus on your people Ask yourself the right questions from the start. What kind of company do I want to create? What values should each employee care about? Once you establish that, have checks and balances so that your employees can’t deviate from those values. Ensure that the leadership in place is setting up employees for success by believing in them. Remember: your employees are your employer brand! As Josh Bersin wrote in the Deloitte Review article Becoming Irresistible, “the balance of power has shifted from employer to employee, forcing business leaders to learn how to build an organization that engages employees as sensitive, passionate, creative contributors.” Learn more:
