I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at AECOM (Auckland, ) in Jul 2023
Interview
I recently applied for a position at AECOM and was invited to a video interview. Though the interview itself seemed to go well, I was left feeling very dissatisfied with the follow-up process. Despite taking the time to prepare and participate in the interview, I was never provided with any feedback or updates on my application status. This lack of communication left me feeling disrespected and undervalued as a candidate. While I understand that companies may have many applicants to deal with, a simple acknowledgment or update on the progress would have been appreciated. This experience has unfortunately given me a negative impression of AECOM, and I hope that they consider improving their communication process with applicants in the future.
Only face to face interview and no written, asked based on your resume. For example, what is the machinsm of ELS? How to determine Grade III rock? What is your Capstone and Final year project?
Two interviewers, ask about the leadership, challenge ,all the questions are mainly based on CV. Not intense atmosphere, also questions about coorperation. it is a good experience , no so many technical questions
The process started with an initial HR screening to discuss my background and interest in the role. This was followed by a technical interview where I was asked about my engineering knowledge and past project experience. There was also a competency-based discussion focusing on teamwork and problem-solving. Overall, the process was organised, and communication was clear at each stage.
