I saw the job posting on Linked in, applied online in Linked in, AECOM internal recruiter contacted me, then I had three interviews. One with the recruiter, one with the management team, and last with one of the project managers.

Question 1
There were more technical questions regarding the previous projects that I worked on, the reason that I’m interested in joining AECOM
Unclear and very long winded process.
There were some basic knowledge questions, questions about the job and hobbies
it began with a presentation of the company, their values and core principles
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at AECOM (Andheri) in Jan 2025
Interview
The interview process was smooth initially, but the compensation offered was not competitive for the role and responsibilities discussed. After raising concerns and having a conversation about salary expectations, there was complete radio silence from the recruiter — no closure or follow-up. It was disappointing to experience such a lack of professionalism, especially after investing time and effort in the process.

Salary offered was below market expectations
No follow-up after compensation discussion
Unprofessional communication post-interview
It was mainly about my past experience and where i want to be in the future. Also they asked me about current salary and salary expectation, and if i’m willing to travel abroad for specific projects if it is required.
