I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at ALDI (Sheffield, Inglaterra) in Aug 2020
Interview
Applied on line took about an hour with tests , then was successful and invited to do an online video interview where they gave 30 seconds to answer questions, next was invited to a phone interview with Area Manager, asked about my previous experience and what I would find challenging about working for Aldi, 2 days later received email for invite to store experience, this lasted 2 hours , during which I had to do an "initiative test" moving boxes from 1 Pallet to another and at speed, for someone new to this I found quite hard, im sure after training and getting used to weights of boxes it would be easy, unfortunately I've pulled my back out and now suffering due to this, although health and safety was explained the boxes were actually heavier than I imagined and using muscles I don't usually use, I was told by manager that the area manager would be in touch after he sent my questionnaire scoring me.. 3 days later im Still waiting to hear, , funny really as was told they were desperate for staff and only 2 of us went for the experience day..

Interview
Aldi's online application is more comprehensive than the higher level leaving cert English exams. I feel like it takes ages to hear anything from them, but you get entered into a candidate pool and emailed to interview eventually. I got a call from a girl in Wilton who called me by the wrong name initially, sounded totally disinterested and spoke far too quickly and quietly to be understood. The phone interview was scheduled to be a total of 10 minutes long which seems a bit rude? considering the amount of effort candidates put in to the online application. I could tell from her tone on the call that I was not going to be successful. Standard email the next day saying I wouldn't be progressing. Disappointing really. I would have liked to work for Aldi.
Interview questions [1]

Interview
I was contacted after a successful video interview to come in for an "Individual Assessment" with the store manager. This was a 1/1 interview. It took around 10 minutes.
It was friendly and fairly relaxed.
After the manager had told me about herself I was asked to tell her about myself, including hobbies and interests.
I was then asked multiple questions and then given a piece of paper where I had to read a possible work senario and say how I would handle the situation.
I was then told I'd hear back within 5 days. I was sadly rejected by email.
