I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at ALDI
Interview
-Submitted application and resume online
-Approximately 1-2 weeks later got an email to set up phone screening
-Phone screening lasted 30 minutes, lots of questions about previous employment history, why interested in the position, etc. Afterward, I was instructed to take various skills tests online (Excel, Word, reading, math, typing).
-Received an email a few days later to schedule an in person interview
-In-person interview #1 with two buying directors. Overall, a decent experience. Again, mostly questions about work history, specific questions about tasks related to previous positions, why Aldi, and a couple behavioral questions (tell me about a time when you had to deal with a difficult person). I was told that I would hear back in a couple days.
-Received a phone call two days later that they wanted me to come in for a second in-person interview. I also had to submit 3 professional references. ALDI actually did contact each of them.
-In-person interview #2 with a buying director and group buying director. Before the actual interview, I was taken on a 30 minute tour of the building with two individuals from HR. Many of the questions asked were identical to those from the first interview. Surprisingly, no behavioral questions were asked. I was told that I would hear back in 2-3 days.
-A few days later, I received a generic, “do not reply” email stating that I had not been extended an offer. While I was quite disappointed that I had not received an offer, I was completely bewildered by the fact that I was sent a generic email after 6 weeks of interviewing with this company.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at ALDI (Batavia, IL) in Aug 2016
Interview
First round is a phone interview. Second and third rounds are in person with mangers and directors. Very in depth and thorough interview process. Many consumer behavioral questions as well as situational questions. Be ready to have questions to ask as well. Very professional but comfortable environment. They are a lean company and don't offer title growth but do offer growth in position responsibilities. German based company so I had the advantage of knowing how that office environment is. Strict and conservative.
