I applied online. I interviewed at ALDI (Navan) in Apr 2015
Interview
Very thorough. 3 rounds of interviews to go through but was made feel very comfortable throughout.
1) group interview. Only 3 people in my group and we were asked to do a survival scenario within our group and just briefly had to talk about ourselves. Very easy going and not overly formal at all
2) the one to one interview with the area manager. Was a little more formal but only asked about previous experience and a little bit about myself. Once again, I was made to feel very comfortable and relaxed in it.
3) the work trial. This was when I was asked to come in for an hour early in the morning and just had to help stock shelves and was rated on my performance.
A few hours later, I was offered the job.

Question 1
Why do you want to work for aldi? / what is your favourite product?
I applied through other source. I interviewed at ALDI (Florissant, MO) in Jun 2015
Interview
Did a meet and greet through job fair. Was called for 1st interview on 6/11/15 @10am at the Florissant store. I believed the interview went well until I didn't receive a call for 2nd interview. That is when I realized my mistake. I interviewed with one of the District Managers and towards the end I told him that I wanted his job. I want to apologize to this gentleman, I didn't mean this to be threatening or disrespectful. I only meant that I wanted a future and to eventually move up to District Manager and I was willing to start as a part-time associate. I learned a very good but hard lesson, choose your words carefully.

Question 1
What do I do in my current job that would help at Aldi's?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at ALDI (Melbourne) in Dec 2014
Interview
I applied online through their site, surprised to receive an email to a group interview (completely forgot that I had applied).
We were all waiting outside the store, the people conducting the interview took us in 20 minutes later than the scheduled time. They took us into a back room within the store itself. There was about 10 of us, cramped around a small table with chairs with the two recruiters standing at the front. They were really nice and straightforward. We had to introduce our neighbour, then take any product in the store and introduce that. Afterwards at the very end there was a simple arithmetic test with 5 minutes to do it. I completed it under a minute and left.
I was called for a one-on-one interview the following week, it was with the two recruiters. They asked for my availability, background check and police check.
Surprisingly, the recruiter said I would start Monday as soon as the paperwork was finalised.
Then on Monday, I get an email saying I was unsuccessful, with no way to contact the recruiters (they used no-reply emails and private numbers) I was left disheartened and confused.
